TEAM-BUILDING GAMES FOR PARENTS WITH CHILDREN – UNUSUAL PROPS

  1. Dressing-up
Rules:
  • The selected person looks at other participants for one minute, paying attention to their clothes and other pieces of garment, such as watches, bracelets, earrings, etc.
  • Next, he or she covers their eyes while others exchange any elements of their garments.
  • Once the exchange is finished, they ask the selected person to open their eyes and tell them how many pieces of garment changed their owners, without specifying them.
  • When the selected person notices a thing that belongs to somebody else, he or she says whose item this is and that thing is returned to its owner.
  • To win the game, the selected person must return all the items to their proper owners.

  1. Dress the statue
  Rules:
  • Gather bags with various clothes.
  • In pairs, one person must dress up their partner by using everything from the bag.
  • Once the participants are dressed up, organize a fashion show and walk along the corridor

  1. The pink elephant
  Rules:
  • Players put on headbands and attach springs to them.
  • On signal, players drop the springs down and try to make a rapid move with their head to toss the spring up and hold it completely on their forehead (with all the coils connected) for at least 3 seconds.
  • The first person to complete this task wins! We guarantee that you will laugh a whole lot!

  1. Inflatable skis
  Rules:
  • Prepare small flags made from toothpicks, modeling clay and paper. Place them in pairs along a created track.
  • The player places a ping pong ball at the start line and must blow the ball through as many gates as possible and as quickly as possible.

  1. OXO
  Rules:
  • Each player, one after another, puts O or X in any empty square of the sheet.
  • When someone manages to finish a line consisting of letters OXO, that player crosses it out with a pen, gains one point and goes on.
  • Whoever has the highest score, when there are no more empty squares, wins.

  1. Fly catching
  Rules:
  • The selected person draws a small circle on the second half of the paper, on the outside, so that the fly ends up in its center.
  • Unfold the paper and fold it on the other side to check whether the drawn circle surrounds the fly or whether any part of it is outside the circle.
  • If the fly is “caught”, the person who drew the circle wins.
  • Otherwise, the same person draws another circle. The drawing person must catch the fly in as little attempts as possible.

  1. Secret picture
  Rules:
  • Cover the picture with paper squares.
  • Each participant can, by taking one square, uncover another part of the picture.
  • A participant may, instead of taking another square, try to guess the topic of the picture. If they are wrong, they’re out of the game.
  • Participants take squares from the picture until someone guesses what is in the picture.

  Rules:
  • Each player chooses their symbol: O or X.
  • One after another, players draw their symbol in an empty space, trying to draw three symbols in one line: vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
  • Whoever manages to draw three of their symbols in one line wins the game.

GAMES FOR PARENTS WITH CHILDREN – WITH A BLANKET/TOWEL

  1. The shadow cliff
  Rules:
  • Choose a player who will be the “guesser”.
  • He/She sits down on the floor in front the lamp and facing the bed sheet, low enough to prevent their shadow from being cast on the bed sheet.
  • Other players from a line behind the bed sheet and pass in front of the light so that their shadow is cast on the bed sheet. The “guesser” must not turn around.
  • The “guesser” must recognize players by their shadow.
  • Players must change their gait and height however they can.
  • As soon as the “guesser” recognizes a player, they swap roles and the game goes on.

  1. Shadow play
  Rules:
  • The goal of the game is to cast shadows by arranging one’s hands in a specific way.
  • At the beginning, it will certainly require some practice. The easiest way is to start the game with the classic “hare” or “dove”.
  • You can easily find inspiration for creating shadows with one’s hands and ready-to-use play scripts on the Internet.
 
  1. Obstacle Course
  Rules:
  • The first participant stands on a towel/blanket at the start line.
  • On signal, the participant must complete the prepared obstacle course as quickly as possible.
  • The participant must not touch the ground; he/she must move only on the towel/blanket.
  • The participant who completed the course within the shortest time wins.
