1. The Portal does not automatically collect any information, except for the information contained in cookies.
2. Cookies are IT data, in particular text files, which are stored on the User’s terminal equipment and are intended for the use of the Portal’s websites. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they originate from, the storage time on the terminal equipment, and a unique number.
3. The entity placing cookies on the User’s terminal equipment and gaining access to them is the Portal Administrator.
4. Cookies are used for the following purposes:
a) adjusting the content of the Portal’s websites to the User’s preferences and optimizing the use of the websites; in particular, these files allow for the recognition of the User’s device and the appropriate display of the website, tailored to their individual needs;
b) creating statistics that help to understand how Users use the websites, which allows for the improvement of their structure and content;
c) maintaining the User’s session.
5. The following types of cookies are used within the Portal:
a) “session” cookies and “persistent” cookies. Session cookies are temporary files stored on the User’s terminal equipment until logging out, leaving the website, or turning off the software (web browser). Persistent cookies are stored on the User’s terminal equipment for the time specified in the cookie parameters or until they are deleted by the User;
b) “strictly necessary” cookies, enabling the use of services available within the Portal, e.g., authentication cookies used for services requiring authentication within the Portal;
c) security cookies, e.g., used to detect authentication abuses within the Portal;
d) “performance” cookies, enabling the collection of information on how the Portal’s websites are used;
e) “functional” cookies, enabling the “remembering” of settings selected by the User and personalization of the User interface, e.g., regarding the selected language or region the User comes from, font size, website appearance, etc.
6. In many cases, the software used to browse websites (web browser) allows the storage of cookies on the User’s terminal equipment by default. Users may change their cookie settings at any time. These settings can be changed, in particular, to block the automatic handling of cookies in the web browser settings or to inform the User every time they are placed on the User’s device. Detailed information about the possibilities and ways of handling cookies is available in the software (web browser) settings.
7. The Administrator informs that restrictions on the use of cookies may affect some of the functionalities available on the Portal.
