What carnival games should be chosen for kids aged 4 to 10?
For children aged from 4 to 10, you can prepare verbal, educational, physical or logic carnival games as well as many more. During such activities, children will improve their fitness, relax, train memory and concentration. Bear in mind that if your kids are going to a carnival party, you should not exhaust them too much

Educational game – Name the dish
The game can be for 2 to 20 people aged 5 and older.
First, place a small table or desk so that the participants can approach them easily. Prepare blindfolds and bowls with various dishes. The first child approaches the table (blindfolded) and tastes the dishes. Kids must name the dish. They get a point for every correct guess.
Ring Around the Rosie
This carnival game can be organized e.g., in a small reception hall, at home or outside. It can have from
3 to 30 people aged 4 and above. The rules of this game for children are very simple. First:
- Ask the children to stand in a circle,
- Next, participants hold hands and sing “Ring-a-ring-a-roses, A pocket full of posies, A-tishoo! A-tishoo!
We all fall down!”,
- At “We all fall down”, the whole group sits down on the ground.

Verbal game – What is my profession?
A carnival game for children aged 8 and over. The game can be for 2 to 10 people. What is
my profession? The game is about using questions to guess the profession that somebody has in their mind. That is:
- Participants choose one person who will come up with a profession e.g., lawyer.
- Children ask questions e.g., where do you work?
- The asked person must only answer by saying the first and the last letter of the reply, for example LM, which stands for law firm.
- Other children must guess the profession based on the given reply

What carnival games are suitable for children aged 11 and over?

Educational game – Themed chain
Carnival game for people aged 8 to 16. It can be played at home, in a reception hall, at school, in
a car during a trip. The rules are as follows:
- Children sit down and come up with a theme e.g., fashion.
- The first player says a name of an item from the chosen category e.g., a dress.
- The next person must come up with a word that starts with the last letter of the previous one e.g., velvet.
- The person who is unable to come up with a word loses.

Group game – String and dance
For people aged 12 and over. It can be for 6 to 36 people. First, ask two people to stretch a string vertically, from one wall to the other.
- All pairs move towards the string in the rhythm of the music.
- The goal of the game is to walk under the string (while dancing).
- After some time, the string is lowered, making the task becomes more difficult (funnier).
- Kids must dance close to each other – it is very important! However, remember that they must not bump into other children
- Those who fall over, touch the string or stop dancing when walking under the string lose the game.

Family game – New Year’s Eve countdown
A variant of a carnival game for players aged 7 to 35. For 2-10 people. You can
prepare the game at home or in a small reception hall. First, take 5 identical boxes. Place
from 1 to 5 bells in each box. Then:
- The first participant tries to arrange the boxes in order, according to the number of bells.
- In order to guess the number of bells, the player needs to shake each box.
- Once they finished the task, the game leader checks whether the player was correct.
- The person who was correct and did the task in the shortest time wins.

Written game – THE MOUNTAIN
Give each player 2 dice and pieces of paper with written numbers from 1 to 6 and back to 1. Digits should be written in such a way that they form the shape of a mountain.
- The goal of the game is to climb the mountain and them descend it in order.
- Players start the game at the same time and throw their dice.
- Each player first tries to throw 1 which will allow them to cross the 1st level of their mountain.
- The player cannot move to the next level until they throw 1 with the dice.
- If they have 1 and 2 on the dice, he/she can climb directly to level 2.
- This way, the game lasts until somebody manages to ascend and descend from their mountain.
